Unclipped dust jacket is lightly worn along edges. Thin band of tape to jacket verso at center of spine. Boards show light shelfwear and faint tape remnants to top and bottom of front and rear boards. Opens easily between a couple gatherings towards rear but overall binding holding soundly. Pages unmarked.

First book in the Jonathan Argyll art history mystery series.

Synopsis

Iain Pears was born in 1955. Educated at Wadham College, Oxford, he has worked as a journalist, an art historian, and a television consultant in England, France, Italy, and the United States.
