New York: Pantheon Books, 1976. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Near Fine. First American Edition. Illustrated boards (same design as dust jacket). Some foxing to pages, including a couple spots on the title page, else occasional light speckling. Otherwise clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has a very small spot of soiling on the front panel (on the letter 'W'); not price clipped ($5.95); in an archival mylar sleeve. [32] pages. 10.5 x 10.5 inches. Ratsmagic was British illustrator Wayne Anderson's first children's book and won the 1976 Gold Medal Award for Best Illustrated Children's Book, awarded by the Society of Illustrators, New York. Anderson created the story and the illustrations and then the writer and playwright Christopher Logue (1926-2011) was commissioned to write the words.
