A treasure trove of plates illustrating the work of American Artists of this period. Scarce.

Full elaborate gilt tooled and embossed leather with 5 raised bands and extensive embossing and gilt tooling in the compartments; a real beauty. All edges are gilt. 162 pp. 175 large plates. A slightly better than average copy of this large, important volume. Last 15 pages have very slight moisture discoloration to the lower outside corner of the pages, otherwise the pages are bright and in very good condition. Entire volume is tight, raised bands and embossing on the spine is in average condition, being somewhat scuffed in places. A treasure trove of plates illustrating the work of American Artists of this period. Scarce, and a copy that will present vetry nicely on your shelf or table.
