Boston, MA: Privately Printed / Merrymount Press, 1929. Limited Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original 1929 publication and not a modern reprint. Green cloth boards with paper label on spine. Exterior shows little wear but there is some spotting. There is a dark spot on the front and what looks like paint on the lower section of the spine cloth. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues other than a very small hole in the gutter of the front end page, about 3 inches down. The tissue guard for the frontispiece is still present and attached. No bookplates, no library markings, no signatures present, no handwriting found. Pages are mildly toned but are clean, though the end pages show some light foxing spots. Marbled end pages in front and rear. The copyright page states this is a limited printing of just 50 copies. Found between the pages were two pieces of correspondence, one letter from 1944 was from Miss Francis A. Wister of Philadelphia, and the other is a card dated 1966 from an author, who is only identified as "George" of 315 Kent Road, Wynnewood PA. These letters have been placed in glassine envelopes and will be included with the book.

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.
We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.
Yesterday's Book shop is owned and operated by a disabled veteran. Due to my limitations, I often have to rely on speech-to-text software to list the books. If the description has typos ("and pages" instead of "end pages", pace downs instead of pastedowns, guilt instead of gilt, etc,) PLEASE let me know so I can correct the listing. Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.
