New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1939. A young man saves a rancher from murder but soons finds himself on the bad side of everyone. Early reprint. Lightly bumped, front hinge cracked at the title page. Narrow damp stain barely visible at the upper edge of the rear pastedown. Previous owner's name on the front pastedown, dated Jan 11, 1943. Jacket rubbed with small chips and tears, spine a bit darkened, with corresponding damp stain to the upper edge of the rear panel and flap, in Brodart.. Hard Cover. Good/Good.
