They showcase Chandler's abilities as a writer, including vivid characters, tight plotlines, and scenes of glittering evil. The first edition, first printing of this work in book form.Enclosed in the original pictorial dust wrapper. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lovely, with just a touch of shelf wear and bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Original unclipped dust wrapper is smart and bright, with some edgewear, and in particular some loss to the head of the backstrip. A small amateur tape repair to the head of the interior of the wrap. Internally, volume is firmly bound. Pages are age-toned, but are otherwise very clean throughout. Very Good Indeed
