Renoir died in 1919, one most famous artists of his generation. He was at the vanguard of the impressionistic movement and this book charts his artistic and life through friends, letters and recorded comments. A little rubbing of the backstrip edges and book corners. Age toning of the textblock edges and pages. Gift inscription to the pre-front end page along with previous owner's ex libris plate.
