Dublin, Ireland: R. Moncrieffe, 1785. Hardcover. G+ (Good Plus)/NDAI (No Dust Jacket As Issued). 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Full brown leather with dulled gilt lettering and seven raised bands to spine. Moderate edgewear, rubbing, scuffing, and soil; spine ends and corners bumped and chipped; spine darkened; small puncture to spine as if from a nail; chipped prev owner name label at lower spine end; joints cracked but boards are still firmly attached. Binding cracked at hinges (otherwise sound). Interior lightly toned and foxed. With tables of the names of the cases, and of the matter contained in them. Period bookplate to front pastedown with "John Bird's Book, Litchfield". Early prev owner names and markings to pastedowns and first few pages. Not ex-library. 688 pp + tables.
