San Francisco: Sierra Club, 1901. First Edition. Very Good Plus/4-mil clear mylar envelope. Unpaginated (9). Printed for members of the Sierra Club by the Stanley-Taylor Company of San Francisco. Small bookseller's stamp (Chessler Books) on inside of rear cover. String-bound wrappers. 5 1/4" x 8". A poem written upon the death of Professor Josph LeConte of the University of Californina. Professor LeConte (1823-1901) was a physician and co-founder of the Sierra Club. He died in Yosemite. Poet Edward Robeson Taylor (1838-1923) was a lawyer, physician, Dean of Hasitings Law School and Mayor of San Francisco from 1907- 1910. Scarce. A Very Good Plus copy (Rubbed from handling; cover slightly faded; vertical bend shadow), now in a clear 4mil mylar protective envelope.
