About the author

Prasanta K. Bhattacharya has been a clinician, researcher and teacher in internal medicine for over 30 years and is currently with the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, a tertiary care teaching hospital that provides undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, along with affordable and quality clinical care. Besides medical teaching, he has been actively involved in several multicenter research projects, in mentoring PhD scholars and in the training of faculty and students of the university in research methodology.
