A charming travel work written by James Paul Cobbett when he was a student.Cobbett noted the differences between the French and English, briefly sketching the characters of the French people, as well as noting the economy and trade of France.The third edition of this work.One leaf of publisher's adverts to the front endpaper. Four pages of publisher's adverts to the rear. In the original quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with light rubbing and marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, head of the spine is lifting a little. A little loss to the spine label and to the front joint. Rear hinge is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some odd spots. Good
