About This Item
New York: The Macmillan Company, 1930. 192 pages. One color plate on frontis plus four additional black and white plates by Eloise Burns Wilkin--perhaps her earliest book illustrations, done before she completed her art studies at Rochester Institute of Technology. Bound in original red cloth with black lettering. The book is generally clean and tight; 4 leaves rather crudely opened, leaving margins chipped; spine slightly faded; small brown stains in margin of 2 pages; 1/2" closed tear in margin of frontispiece; cloth bumped through to boards at corners; 3 tiny and light stains on front cover. Much nicer than it sounds--a perfectly acceptable copy of a very scarce book.. First Edition. Hardback. Collectible-Very Good-/No Dust Jacket, as Issued. Illus. by Eloise Burns [Wilkin]. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Book.
