About This Item
Large format hardcover edition with dust jacket. Published by The Los Angeles County Museum of Art in association with Thames & Hudson.
Measuring 11-3/4" X 8-1/2", 232 pages, 153 illustrations with 41 in color, dark brown cloth covered boards. The boards are flat and the corners are not bumped or creased. This is the catalog of the Cantor gift to the LA County Museum of Art. Included are not just the sculptures of Rodin, but there is also a focus on the influence on Rodin of his predecessors such as Carpeaux, Carrier-Belleuse and Rude. Mary Levkoff is Associate Curator of European painting and sculpture at the LA County Museum. Forty-one works of Rodin are illustrated, many from multiple views. Examples of the work of Rodin's contemporaries are included as well. This volume was printed and bound in Japan. There are a few dots of age foxing to the bottom edge of the text block, not very noticeable, some rubbing to the back panel of the dust jacket, and bump mark on the back left at the edge. This is not a remainder copy, not a library discard, no writing on the text, no former ownership marks. As is the case for all of our listings, the attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory, not stock photos. This will be mailed out in a sturdy box.

Let us know, we'd love to hear from you! Do you want to see a photo of a book before you order it ? We try to post as many photos as possbiel, but sometimes there will be a item in inventory that does not show a photo here. So feel free to ask for photos, we don't mind at all. We package all of our orders carefully either in a box that has been designed to ship books, or in a padded envelope. We want to make sure you receive your order in the best possible condition! Our preferred shipping method is USPS Media Mail. Recently, the USPS has added tracking to Media Mail , which has been a great addition to this service. If you do choose to have your order shipped "Expedited", my shipping cost may seem higher than expected. Some of our books are large format hardcovers that can cost quite a bit when shipped expedited. So I would like to make sure that I can cover the cost upfront. However, if the actual cost of expedited shipping is less than the charge, I will refund the difference!
