Random House, 1956. 1st Ptg. . Cloth. Fine/Near Very Good. (1st ptg.) Slightly smaller book, fine brown cloth with bright gilt and black circle and star design at top front right, gilt lettering and black lettering on spine near fine, 433 lightly browned pages plus brief biographical note. DJ front has green background with illustration of telephone pole with posters showing title and author, sign in background says "Welcome to Red Brook." Author may have based the story on his life in Rhinebeck, New York. DJ beneath mylar, spine faded to blue, b/w photo of Obolensky on back. DJ has very slight surface wear to tips, very tiny light creases at bottom front, very tiny tear and very slight wear at spine top edge, microtear and very tiny crease at top back edge, white back edges lightly browned. Near Very Good DJ/Very Fine book.
