Hurst & Company . Hardcover. Good. [nd], ca. 1906-1913. Red cloth boards with white titling and decoration, illustration plate to front panel. Cloth rubbed and edge worn with loss to titling, more so to spine. Prior owner has attempted to fill in the author's name at front panel in pencil. Three tiny points of insect damage to rear inner hinge. Binding cracked at 128-129, else intact. Eleven black-and-white illustrations including frontispiece. Gift inscription inked to FFEP, dated 1913. Pages lightly toned, text block edges foxed. Text unmarked.
