Octavo (19cm); olive green pictorial cloth, with titling and decorative elements stamped in white and dark green to spine and front cover; dustjacket; [4], 315, [1]pp. Spine ends gently nudged, some trivial rubbing to lower corners, with mild offset to endpapers and pastedowns; Near Fine. Dustjacket shows even sunning to spine and panels, light shelfwear overall, with a few small tears, nicks to base of spine and corners, and a small chip to upper right corner of rear panel, affecting a single letter; Very Good+. Socialist conversion novel with some Wall Street content, described by Ahouse as Sinclair's contribution to "the literature of the guileless fool, whose sincerity, innocence, and purity of heart carry him forward to the attainment of wisdom in a generally complacent world."
