In very good near fine condition in fine dustwrapper (dw; Official Collins later reproduction jacket. In protective sleeve.) Blind embossed stamp to corner of half title page “Library of Anthony Day.” Some minor tanning to inside pages. Else a very clean and tight copy. 311pp. 61 colour & 62 b&w photo plates; 88 text figures. This beautifully illustrated book explores the rich animal and plant communities of the sea shore, a narrow strip, stretching for thousands of miles, which is occupied by an astounding variety of life.
