A lovely second printing of the author's memoirs concerning her time in Scotland living among various pets, including a common seal. This was the author's first book, and the one to gain her fame with numerous reprints and translations in seven different languages. With decorations in text throughout by Raymond Sheppard. Complete in its unclipped dust wrapper. In the original publisher's full cloth binding.
