Good 1st edition, ex-library copy, with unclipped d/j in protective sleeve and glued down, pages bright but front board partially detached. 12mo (190 x 130 / 7_"" x 5""). Previously unpublished journals recording his African travels to the Belgian Congo in 1959 and an earlier wartime convoy to West Africa in 1941. Some of the raw material wound up in ""A Burnt-Out Case"" and ""The Heart of the Matter.""

Synopsis

Graham Greene (1904-1991) worked as a journalist and critic, and was later employed by the Foreign Office. His many books include The Power and the Glory , The Third Man , Our Man in Havana , The Comedians and Travels with My Aunt . He is the subject of an acclaimed three-volume biography by Norman Sherry.
