About This Item
London; (1917): W. Collins Sons and Co. First Edition. Octavo. Review copy with "review copy" embossed stamp, portrait frontispiece, 350 (1)pp. This is the second of two novels which Henry James left unfinished and later published after his death. He had tried on and off to finished this book but kept putting it on the back burner. He compiled several notes for the book which are presented here to show the reader the author's method of writing. Bound in blue cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, two bumped corners, spine just a bit darkened. A very good copy.
