About This Item

New York: Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1974. Very good (a few light foxing spots on page edges; a few page corners have been turned down by a careless reader) in near fine dust jacket (price-clipped). Besides being a novelist of note, McCarthy, in the 1960s and 1970s, wrote three small books on the Vietnam War, and these are reprinted here as the middle three sections. The first section is a memoir about her writing of these three controversial pieces, and the last section is a devastating review of David Halberstam's blockbuster "The Best and the Brightest." Excellent reading copy. 451 pages including index. Medina, incidentally, was Lt William Calley's immediate superior at My Lai.. 1st Edition thus. Hard Cover.
