London: William Heinemann, n.d. [1921].. n.d. [1921].. Very good. - Quarto, decorative tan, black & white paper covered boards backed with black cloth with a printed paper label on the spine. The top edge is gilt. The covers are bumped with small tears to the bottom corners & with some light score marks to the rear cover. The head & tail of the spine are rubbed. [x] & 133 pages. The endpapers are slightly darkened with a light crease to the rear endpaper. There is a small, very light stain to the half-title & title. Black-and-white illustrations. Despite its flaws, a very good, attractive copy. <p>Clemence Dane is the pseudonym of Winifred Ashton. Of a limited edition of 250 copies on handmade paper, numbered and signed by the author as Clemence Dane, this is one of 25 copies for presentation and is inscribed on the front endpaper and signed "Winifred" in the year of publication.
