Pages are moderately tanned with mild foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Minor dog-eared corners. Slight cracking to gutter with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with noticeable bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a prominent forward lean. Small splits to spine end.

Synopsis

She Was a Lady is the title of a mystery novel by Leslie Charteris featuring his creation, Simon Templar, alias The Saint. The novel was first published in magazine serial form in 1930, and was first published in complete form in the United Kingdom by Hodder and Stoughton in 1931. This was the seventh book chronicling Templar's adventures, and the fourth full novel. Like other early Simon Templar novels, this book underwent a number of name changes in succeeding editions.
