Not in Arntzen & Rainwater, OCLC and KVK locate one copy, at the Tate Library in London.Awoki (1882-1911), also known as Aoki, studied under Japanese masters and and apparently never left Japan but achieved of fusion of East and West that won acclaim but not fortune. His work is collected by Japanese and Westerners, with two major works registered in Japan as Important Cultural Properties. He died at age 28 of tuberculosis, somewhat of a failure by conventional measures, but, says Kawakita, "should be considered an artistic genius whose work, depending much on literary allusions, created within its incompleteness a world of art full of charm and grace."Condition of this book:Boards lightly worn with a small bump at bottom edge, sunned at spine.
