A collection of sketches on the wild sports and natural history of the Scottish Highlands, with chapters on the lakes, grouse shooting, wild cats, salmon fishing, poaching, hen harriers, weasels and ferrets, wild geese, stag hunting, the migration of birds. fox hunting, and more. Written by Charles St. John, an English naturalist and sportsman. Bound in half crushed morocco with patterned boards. Externally, very smart with light wear to the extremities. Fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Booth Bird Museum Brighton bookplate to the front pastedown with their ink stamp to the title page and the odd page. Very Good Indeed
