Description:
New York: Sparrow Press, 1955.. Small octavo. Pictorial wrapper and frontis after a drawing by Michael Lekakis. White portions of wrapper slightly darkened, but very good. First edition of the poet's third book, presumably the ordinary unnumbered issue. One of 225 copies from a total edition of two hundred and fifty copies printed at the Divers Press, Mallorca. Rather than being numbered and signed (as were the first twenty- five copies), this copy bears the author's signed, early inscription on the colophon: "for Seamus over & below all numbers."

Jacksonville, IL: Harris-Wolfe & Company, 1967. Stated first edition. Ink inscription by author on second leaf: 'For Robert Lee' , who was then one of the owners of the New Era Bookstore in Baltimore and a member of the Communist Party. Harkey, a white publisher and journalist in Mississippi, was the target of several hate crimes for his anti-segregationist views, one of which was a burning cross on his lawn. These events are the basis for this book, which also became the subject of a documentary film. Book very good with waterstains at foreedge (only), edgewear to cover. A unique copy and extremely rare. 207 pp.. Signed by Author. 1st Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good.

No Place Stated: The Golden Bough Press. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1930. Limited/Numbered Edition. Hardcover. The free endpapers have a slight curl, likely from the marbling process. Spine and joints slightly darker than the rest of the leather. Minor rubbing to the joints, cover paper abraded where it wraps under the tail edge of the rear board, corners bumped with wear through to the boards.; Daudet's novel of the personal failings and stumbling, lurching relationship of a young Southern French student Jean Gaussin and his older Parisian lover Fanny Legrand. Jean is troubled by Fanny's life of luxury from many profitable, personal relationships: an engineer, a poet, an engraver, and a sculptor who had her pose for his statue of Sappho. After their living in the country and his dalliance with a young woman, it all falls apart. In the end, Fanny leaves him with little but a letter and he's right to lament his "...broken, wasted life, all wrecked and tearful... From…
