About This Item
London: Odhams Press Limited, 1937 . First edition. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. 7.5" by 5". None. An uncommon, first edition of this spy novel surrounding a secret service mission, written by J. M. Walsh. The first edition. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Dated using Jisc from copies of the work held at the British Library. Written by Australian novelist James Morgan Walsh, who was known for his prolific writing of mystery, crime and science-fiction works. 'Spies in Spain' follows the story of Colonel Ormiston of the Secret Service as he is asked to find out about a tunnel that is being projected from Spain to the African coast. Bound in the publisher's green cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, generally smart, with damp staining to the board extremities. A little fading to the spine and rubbing to the extremities. The odd spot to endpapers and fore edge. Dust wrapper is very good, with edge wear and the odd tear or crease. Slight sunning to the spine and the odd mark to wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Bright pages with the odd spot. Very Good
