About This Item
London: Heinemann, 1967. 8vo. pp.iv + 276 . Original near fine orange cloth hardcover lettered in red and in rear marked chipped & price clipped, now protected dust wrapper.
The dust wrapper has been protected but the selloptape used to secure the plastic has stained through the endpapers and the first and last couple of pages original owners small inscription on free front endpaper. A better than good copy. Number 23 in the Uniform Edition
Sir Gareth Ludlow was a sought-after bachelor in London high society -- wealthy, noble, handsome... and brokenhearted since the death of his true love many years ago. Resigned to remarry, Sir Gareth decides to request the hand of a woman he respects.
