With a color illustration of Galileo preceding the title page and numerous black and white illustrations accompanying the text. Bound in blue cloth with dust jacket. Binding displays minor wear; the lower corner tip of the front board is bumped.The dust jacket is well worn; the head of the jacket spine is chipped; the rear jacket contains tears, creases, splits, and chipping along the folds; inside jacket flap tips are clipped (perhaps by design?) Interior is printed on semi-gloss paper. Pages are generally clean. There is a small spot of damage to the upper margin of p. 97. Book block edges contain some faint foxing. "'Starcraft' differs from other books on amateur astronomy in that it not only gives a detailed guide to the study of the stars, but tells how the reader can build his own instruments for making observations" [from the dust jacket].
