The first UK edition of the work.Very scarce. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper with price sticker.This work of crime fiction is written by American screenwriter and author Elmore Leonard. Leonard was a prolific writer publishing Westerns in his early days and then moving to crime fiction and thrillers, many of which have been adapted to film. In this work we meet Ernest 'Stick' Stickley who, after serving time for armed robbery, is trying to stay out of trouble in a crooked town. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper with price sticker. Externally in excellent condition with very minor bumping. The wrap is also in excellent condition with the odd small chip and minor offsetting caused by the black cloth to the reverse. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages. Scattered spotting to the top edge. Near Fine
