Hardcover. 2-volume set, hardcovers with dustjackets, both books are in excellent condition, a small amount of edge-rubbing at the corners is the only remarkable flaw, the full cloth bindings are clean and tight and the contents are fine, the jackets are also clean and attractive with two minor flaws: mild edge-tanning on the flaps and rear panels and mild edge-creasing at top of spine, the original prices are present and professional (removable) mylar covers are included, this unabridged reprint of the original 1952 edition contains a new Preface by the author, "Written by a pupil of the late Heinrich Schenker, this outstanding work is the most thorough exposition in English of Schenker's work" .
