About This Item

This is the very rare 3rd edition that was revised. Contents include: the temptation, calling of Philip & Nathanael, Christ and the Samaritan woman, the sons of thunder, etc.

Exquisite antique 335 page hardback in Very Good++ condition. All pages are intact, not marred by any notes, underlining or highlighting. Previous owner's label on first free endpaper; that FEP is clipped at top. The spine and head of the book reveals minor use from being pulled from the shelf. The hinge has a minor 2 inch weakening from top FEP. Raised bands on spine. Gilt edges of gold leaf on the textblock which has been trimmed to create a smooth surface. Cover with beautiful bright & bold gold embossing on spine; "Trench On The Gospels". Possible quarter leather with marbled boards. Edge wear. This is a beautiful book almost 150 years old! The pictures depict the actual book you will receive. Countries other than USA may require additional postage; sometimes substantial extra cost. Ships with Tracking Number!
