Australian Wine Board, Adelaide, 1972. Reprint. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Photographic. Foreword by Kenneth T. Hardy, Chairman, Australian Wine Board, preface by W. W. Forrest, Director of Research, the Australian Wine Research Institute, preface to the second edition, introduction by author, list of illustrations, appendix, bibliography and supplementary bibliography. The text is illustrated with 10 black and white plates, figures and the occasional table. Dark cream coloured boards with burgundy coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. First published in 1953 this being this second edition of 1972. A study on the flor yeast that makes sherry, sherry. Softening of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners. Faint foxing of the book covers with darkening and foxing of the back strip. Age toning of the text block edges and pages. Offset tanning and a little foxing to the end pages and previous owners rubber stamp details to the top right hand corner of the free front end page. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
