New York: Cassell, Petter, Galpin & Co., 1879. Published 1879. Very worn collection of short children's stories illustrated with engravings. Color illustrated hardcover, brown cloth spine, 128 pages. Covers worn and chipped, short spine tear at front joint, hinges cracked, front free endpaper removed, pages a little age-toned, many of the illustrations partially colored with crayon or marked with pencil, some crayoning to a few text pages, no significant chips or tears, dampstains throughout. All readable, many of the engravings untouched, but a reading copy only.. Hard Cover. Poor. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
