Front DJ flap states at top ""From the Author"" (no name); reverse of front free endpaper ""To D---- D--------"" w/ another owner name (same last name) & address below. DJ is about Good: Panorama of Himalayas along bottom edge on front, author photos on back are clear & in good shape. DJ shows bit of rubbing & soil, edge wear ( incl. edge tears & creases- approx 1"" max.)- none severe. All said, DJ still quite striking & displays well- esp. front panel. Book is Near Fine. Off-white cloth binding tight, clean & square w/ only a trace of use. NO bumps, rubs, soil or sun. Replication of DJ mountain scene on front & all spine lettering crisp & intact. Book displays very well. Pictorial endpapers bright & clean. Text only lightly toned; tight, clean, unmarked (except as noted above). NO hinge splits, NOT ex library. Overall well preserved copy.
