London: J. M. Dent & Sons Ltd.. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1925. Hardcover. Joseph Conrad's final, unfinished novel in an early U. K. version which likely is a first edition. With introduction by Richard Curle, and a frontis drawing of Conrad and Captain David Bone, purportedly onboard the "Tuscania" in 1923 (though in reality the ship was sunk in 1918). --- In full horizontal-ribbed maroon cloth-covered boards with publisher's blindstamped device on cover, green topstain and gilt-stamped spine titling. Lacks a dust jacket. --- Prior owners' bookplate and signature affixed to front free endpaper, a little dulling to spine gilding, otherwise a clean, sound, unmarked copy.; Small Octavo (7-1/2 to 8 in. tall); vii, 303, (4, ads) pages .
Synopsis
Suspense: A Napoleonic Novel is set in Genoa in early 1815. It was published posthumously in 1925.
