Illustrator: photography. nice clean copy, no damage to the dust jacket apart from fading of the left-hand margin of the front panel and of the spine section, internally clean, without annotations. Illustrated with colour reproductions of artwork and a number of plates of New South Wales flowers. The works are done by Sophia Palmer who married into the Campbell family, and her daughter in law Marianne Collinson Close, who was born in 1827 and who after marrying Robert Campbell's son George, in about 1860 settled at Duntroon, where she established her garden and plant house and painted frame landscapes and handsome arrangements of Australian flowers.
