About This Item

London England: Readers Union/Hutchinson. Very Good/Very Good. 1963. 1st Readers Union Edition. Cloth. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall Hardback Hardback. Very slight foxing to end inside covers and edge. My father had become more finely drawn with the years, and the Gothic age in which he had for so long chosen to immune himself had left its mark on his appearance, so that from the elegant young man of the eighties, who was depicted by Frank Miles and by Dy Maurier in pencil drawings, he had come to resemble a bearded medieval effigy stridden down from a tomb. His energy, however, even when he was resting in bed, remained undimished, and he still threw himself - and any other person he could find withing range - into every activity in which he was interested. Illustrated. 137 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.) .
