Edited by Lady Dacre, Barbarina Brand, the publication is thought to have been written by Arabella Jane Sullivan, Lady Dacre's daughter. Sullivan also produced three volumes on her recollections of being a chaperon in the early nineteenth century. One of the most accomplished women of her time, Lady Dacre extremely suffered at the early death of Arabella, her only child. Including tales about Winifred, Countess of Nithsdale. Antiquarian
