Tan cloth with black, blue and green lettering and pictorial stamping. 400pp. Tissue-guarded color frontispiece, 5 full-page color plates, numerous illustrations. Very good. Faint binding edgewear and just a tad soiled, with rear inner hinge archivally, expertly strengthened, thus tight. Handsome, tight later printing of this popular fictional version of Shakespeare's plays for a juvenile audience penned by the English essayist and his sister, first published in 1807. Nonauthorial gift inscription on front flyleaf dates this undated printing to 1902.
