London: Rogerson and Tuxford, 1864. [8], 202pp. With half-title and an extra engraved title with hand-coloured vignette. Lacking frontispiece. Original publisher's black buckram, lettered in gilt. Very slight wear to extremities. Hinges cracked, very short closed tears to gutter margins of additional title and title, leaves toned with occasional foxing. A collection of articles, songs, and fictions upon the themes of horse racing, hunting, and gambling, which had previously appeared in various periodicals including All the Year Round and the Sporting Magazines. A scarce first edition, with COPAC recording only three copies; BL, Cambridge, NLS, Oxford. . First edition. 8vo.
