Hardback small quarto, dustjacket, very good condition (in fair dustjacket), illustrated cloth cover, black & white photos & drawing, frontispiece, light foxing edges, pages lightly toned (endpapers toned), top corners cloth covers bumped, bottom corners little bumped, light foxing & toning reverse side jacket (some loss top of spine & top edge, rear cover marked, chipped, some edgewear), flaps at joins main covers holed (repaired by non-archival tape). 168 pp. A kaleidoscopic story of the Austral-American Anti-Aircraft Brigade in New Guinea during World War 2 (WW2), and of the beginnings of the Australian section elsewhere overseas. Their proud story is told by many authors in verse, prose and drawings. The many illustrations give this important part of military history life. (AA Forces logo front cover.
