Reader reviews for The Technidigm Protocol, Volume 3, Management Process and Program Assessments: A comprehensive guide from Technidigm Masters for safety team inspectors at critical facilities.

From the publisher

For those who have read Volumes 1 and 2 of The Technidigm Protocol, whether at the Novice, Practitioner, or Master level, Volume 3 provides unique and detailed assessment guidelines (actual questions to ask as part of detailed research) for management assessments of critical programs and industrial facilities. This includes nuclear power plants as well as many other industrial facilities requiring optimal reliability and safety.

This master-level guidance was produced by experts with decades of nuclear energy experience, a profession where attention to detail in the conduct of safety assessments remains paramount. This is the first time this valuable professional guidance has been offered as a general benefit for all safety inspection teams, in particular those teams with a limited number of expert inspectors, even a team with only 6 members. It is an example of what Technidigm Masters, working together, can accomplish.

Management Process and Program Assessments can be accomplished using a "top-down" approach and a concurrent "bottom-up" approach. Management issues are almost always the "root causes" of problems, but it is often difficult to uncover these fundamental problems due to the complexity of most critical industries and their management organizations. This complexity is reduced when we consider the organization from the perspectives of its multiple functional areas, starting at the bottom of the organization, working with the workers to identify potential areas for improvement.

Once an inspection is completed, significant management improvements will likely be needed, as exemplified in Volume 2 for the criticality safety assessment of the US Rocky Flats Plant. For maximum efficiency, all improvement plans should embrace the 12 Technidigm Elements described in Volume 1 of The Technidigm Protocol.
