Thereafter he presents the techniques for creating form, texture and mood. Separate sections are devoted to landscape painting and flower-and-bird painting, showing in detail the methods and appearance of the differing styles. The text is copiously illustrated with examples in black-and-white as well as in colour, so that the beginner can develop a genuine appreciation and understanding of the art.
