Two panels of advertisements touting through train service between California and St. Louis and the new dining cars on the Cannon Ball and Night Express. Two panels with index and general information. Opposite 14 panels offers map entitled "Map of the Texas & Pacific Railway and Connections." "The True Southern Route to and from California is via El Paso and the Texas Pacific Railway. The Short and Quick Line between California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas Mexico and the. North and East." Map of the United States printed in outline color by state. Four remaining panels offers a harvest scene seen from the line of the Texas & Pacific Railway in Texas; facts about Texas and advantages of living in Texas versus other states. "The Texas & Pacific line was formerly known as the Southern Pacific and was sometimes called the Memphis and El Paso Road. It began at Shreveport in 1858, reached Marshall in 1859, Longview in 1870, Dallas in 1873, and Fort Worth in July 1876. The line reached Paris in March 1875, Clarksville in July, and Texarkana in August." – Sloan. Near fine with no splits at folds, unusual thus.
