Two volumes: General History, dealing with water carriage on the river from pre-Conquest days to the beginning of the twentieth century; and Locks and Weirs starting at the Thames Head through to its bridges, weirs, locks, and inn of his time. Illustrated with black and white plates. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only. Dust wrapper unclipped and smart with only minor shelf wear, light sunning to spine vol. II. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Fine
