A photolithographic reprint from the original text of 1914-20. Two volumes: General History, dealing with water carriage on the river from pre-Conquest days to the beginning of the twentieth century; and Locks and Weirs starting at the Thames Head through to its bridges, weirs, locks, and inn of his time. Illustrated with black and white plates.  In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only. Dust wrapper unclipped and smart with only minor shelf wear, light sunning to spine vol. II. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
