Sante Pagnino (1470-1536) was a scholar of Savonarola in Pistoia, Florence and Lucca. He has translated about 1518 for the first time (after the Septuaginta) the Old Testament from the Hebrew to the Latin, published 1527 in Lyon and 1541 in Cologne, and he published as well a Hebrew grammar and this dictionary. ref.
