The work guides the reader on the art of foxhunting.Illustrated with a tipped-in colour frontispiece, and twenty-four tipped-in colour plates.Beckford was a landowner and huntsman who is best known for this work, which was originally published in 1781.Illustrated by George Denholm Armour.With an introduction by E. D. Cuming.Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the British Library.Bookplate to the front pastedown, 'Cazenove'. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with some fading to the spine and front board. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Some marks to the boards and spine. Light spots to the fore edge. Front hinge is starting but firm. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some odd spots. Small amount of loss to the title page. Good
