About the author

Virginia-physician, scientist, and award-winning educator-has had a life-long fascination with sensory perception. Through her research and teaching as faculty member in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca NY and her participation in World Tea Expo, she developed a deep appreciation of tea as the quintessential example of a complex and delicious beverage that delights all the senses. She now devotes her teaching and writing to guiding others through the science of our senses, thereby expanding our enjoyment of tea and tea-food pairing.
