London: Bancroft & Co., 1964 Children's book with five pop-ups. In the 1950s-1960s, Vojtech Kubašta, an Austrian-born paper engineer and illustrator working in Czechoslovakia, created a series of pop-up adventure and fantasy stories combining bold folk art style imagery, distinctive colors, and innovative cut and folded paper styles. His work has been featured at the Smithsonian Museum. This little book is clean, tight and unmarked. All the pop-ups are complete and working. A scarce Kubasta title.. Decorative Paper. Near Fine. 4.5" x 4.5".
